Welcome to our new website!

New Comfort Zone is a faith-based group based in Blackpool that runs drop-in sessions at St. Thomas’s Church on Caunce Street each Tuesday from 11-12:30 for local people who are homeless or in need. You can learn more about us on the About Us  page. Our work relies entirely on donations and if you are able to help you can find out how on the Help or Contact Us page. Catch up with what we have been doing on the News page.

We cater for anyone 18 or older and usually welcome 45-65 people a week. They come for breakfast, hot drinks and snacks to take out. People without permanent accommodation - whether sleeping rough or staying temporarily with friends or relatives - come for additional help such as sleeping bags, survival bags, and warm clothing. We also point them in the direction of support and advice.

Most weeks staff from Blackpool Housing Options come along to give advice on getting accommodation. Each month we are visited by the local parliamentary representative and other agencies attend to give advice when asked. (Unfortunately both suspended during the Covid pandemic)

We are supported by people from across the Fylde and beyond, and have an excellent team of committed volunteers who, after the meals are served, make time to sit with our clients and listen.

A new page has been added to the website to show the impact of the work we are able to undertake with the help of our supporters. Click on IMPACT on the menu.

Storm Damage Update

Our volunteers have decided to provide a limited service on Tuesday 22 February, operating from cars outside the premises. We aim to offer a limited range of food but not hot drinks.
Thank you to our volunteers for overcoming obstacles and showing your dedication to the community! Further news when we hear more.
